About
Applied Behaviour Analysis Therapy
Applied Behaviour Analysis is a scientific, empirical approach to understanding our behaviour. It has been endorsed by the American Psychological Association as a leading, evidence-based teaching strategy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Integral to its foundation is the understanding that behaviour is established through the context of environment, motivation, and repetition. By adjusting components in the environment, building upon natural motivation, and creating multiple learning opportunities, people can acquire more adaptive behaviours and skills.
Applied Behaviour Analysis Therapy applies the scientific understanding of behaviour to teaching practices for individuals with behavioural or learning challenges. This therapy focuses on teaching socially-significant skills to improve quality of life across social, academic, organizational, and functional-living domains. An individual's progress is quantified through the analysis of behaviour-specific data. A Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) is an individual whom has met the educational, practical, and theoretical standards for implementing and supervising ABA therapy.
About Me
I've been working in the field of Behaviour Analysis since 2012, supporting children with social and behavioural challenges in home, community, and school settings. Through my work, I have developed a thorough understanding of how each therapeutic approach must be individualized not only to the child, but also to the many different environments in which that child functions.

My approach aligns with the philosophy that we are defined by who we are across our environments and relationships. Along with utilizing multimodal assessment techniques, I collaborate with and incorporate key members of a child's life throughout the therapy process whenever possible, including parents, teachers, professionals, grandparents, and peers to develop a unique therapy plan that meets my client's current developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs.

As children grow and new priorities arise, I offer frequent, ongoing support so therapy goals are updated at a pace that matches the development of my clients. This may include teaching new skills, updating positive behaviour support plans, facilitating generalization to new environments & people, or transitioning clients to a new service model.
